I am not a parent and I dont want to offend parents by any means. I try not to say anything about the topic of parenting on Facebook for the mere fact that I just dont understand until I have kids. With that being said I am going to post this womans blog and say that I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS! What is gonna happen when these children who have not been taught independence have to run the world? What is gonna happen when these children, heaven forbid, lose their parents? I hope Im wrong. Maybe everything will turn out for the better but I have this sinking feeling it wont. As for the bullying, I know there are more extreme cases that need to be addressed, but why do they get so extreme? Is it because kids are taught they cant handle it on their own? Is it because a child isnt aloud to stick up for themselves in school anymore? Is it because there are more parents absent from their childs life then lets say 30 or 40 years ago? I dont know. But a child cant be taught that running and hiding is ok. They shouldnt be taught that remaining silent while someone attacks them verbally or physically everyday to the breaking point is ok. And they most certainly shouldnt be taught to wait around for someone else to see the situation and take care of it for them. They need to be raised to handle the situation properly. I dont know, I probably will really piss some people off by posting this but I obviously am not the only one that feels this way.
