I am not a very interesting cook. I do make awesome salads and when I try to cook something different Im pretty good. Part of the reason is Doug does not eat veggies and I dont eat a lot of carbs and pasta. But tonight, after someone gave me four varieties of potatoes from her garden I decided to make Doug some Frete et frome ( I made that up)... Potatoes au gratin! We dont have flour in the house so I used pancake batter (Dougs staple ingredient for everything). I dont have milk so I used 1/2 the amount in cream (reviews said recipes was too liquids anyway). And in honor of me, I added some delicious little tomatoes from the same person and twice the amount of cheese, plus 1/4 extra the amount of butter. I cannot wait to see how they turn out!!!! BTW, I never eat like this, my stomach would curl up and die but I will eat some tonight. After my salad and fish.
