I am not an American and my posting this is not a criticism in any way of what America is today. I am posting this because behind the monologue there is a woeful longing for a time when people mattered to each other. The words in this clip are masterful and express who we were. All of us not just Americans. I know the people he is talking about are still out there, we have just been separated by the consolidation and dumming down of our media. We have been given so much choice that we have lost touch with what is important and there has been a steady decline in the interest to provide a good education to everyone. This really is worth watching. Its TV. Its not a real event but it is a valid commentary.
