I am not at all surprised about this allegation against Bangalore South MP Ananth Kumars wife engaging in corruption. MP himself had many allegations in the past - but he has somehow managed to stay out of any proper investigation. (Many people I know grudgingly voted for him since they wanted to vote for Modi this time.) Even now, I am sure he will interfere in investigations against his wife. Usually politicians wives (and husbands) are the enablers and supporters of his/her corruption. Politicians often amass ill-gotten wealth in their family members names. That is one way. Sometimes the family members may build their own clout due to their own charisma and career - but more often than not, they get to be on many trusts, societies and NGOs simply under the shadow of their spouse. These organisations often invite politicians family members to join them to indirectly influence the politician for illegal sanctions. Let us see how these investigations go.
