I am not convinced the electric field geometry can be teased out - TopicsExpress

I am not convinced the electric field geometry can be teased out just by circular polarization techniques. I say otherwise in fact. How to probe this near-radial field, just outside the ring of the Kerr disk? Weelllllll, lets look down the spin axis. Then we have the right vantage point if we had a sensitive electric field yardstick. Looking down at the disk, just outside it and near its equatorial plane, is the near-field I posit. Light photons have electric fields at right angles to their propagation. Thus, if we sent the right wavelength of light, comparable to the E-14 reversal region radius, the electric field of the photon is in the same plane as the radial eletron field component, equatorially. At first I freaked out with the decimals but it is not so bad. A gamma or X-ray of wavelength E-14 meters, has energy of about 100MEV, quite available these days. I dont know the energies of actual X-ray takeoff portals on our stongest accelerators like CERN right now, and shall be looking this up.
