I am not from MO or Ferguson. I have confessed that I have not - TopicsExpress

I am not from MO or Ferguson. I have confessed that I have not been here at the start. Many havent, even those who are natives or current residents. I pray this will not divide us or distract us from our common cause which will not end after the Grand Jury announcement. There are many people contributing to the movement from afar and dedicated to freedom and justice for all. There are many committed to keeping the vigil and offering their bodies, time and resources in support of those who are on the ground everyday in different ways. Some may never confess or show up. But dont throw stones at those who have come in love and earnest desire to serve and raise awareness. The movement belongs to all of us committed to freedom. We who believe in freedom shall not rest and Ubuntu teaches I am becsuse we are. How shall we come together? How can we do the work together? Shall I confess in perpetuity? If that will keep the focus on the real evils of racism, classism and militarized tactics feeding a culture of violence: I confess. But let the one without sin cast the first stone. I am not from MO or Ferguson. But I am a part of human kind. Never send to know for whon the bell tolls. Whether it tolls in Ferguson, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Palestine, Haiti, Illinois, Ohio, Syria, New York, Congo or Mexico- it tolls for thee.
