I am not generally one for complaining but today I am just plain fed up of being in hospital... I am so lucky, I am on an amazing ward, I am loads better than last week and my foot is quite literally half the size which is fantastic but I cant help but want to be snuggled up with my cats on this horrible, dark, rainy and depressingly grey day at HOME. Tomorrow will be a day of discussions when I have a mini meeting with my wonderful consultant Ms. Rose. (Who is quite honestly one of the most fashionable and talented surgeons whilst still remaining human!) I completely trust her with all decisions that need to be made. There are a few things to sort out. First off will my right foot just break down again? Will we need to extend the flap further to allow for my weight to be spread across it more evenly? (Which basically means taking both flaps completely off and starting from scratch) And secondly my left foot has now become an issue. It is so thick with scar tissue at the front that as soon as I put any weight through it, its extremely painful. BUT if we are going to start some sort of surgical invention it would be the same type of surgery that I had on the right... which leaves us a bit stumped. If the right flap continously breaks down it will just happen to the left. Sorry so confusing! So thats the general plan. I am hoping to get discharged tomorrow and then if any further surgery is required come back at a later date, I would go home with a vac but it would be worth it. I really need a break from hospitals!!!! On a funnier note I had to dry some of my thick jumpers, what better clothes line than an IV pole. The perks of constantly being attached to something ;) Thanks everyone all your comments and love mean so much xxxx
