I am not just a babysitter. I am a parent while you are away, I - TopicsExpress

I am not just a babysitter. I am a parent while you are away, I protect and love your child. I am a teacher, I teach your child manners, responsibilities, respect, alphabet, colors, shapes, etc... I am a librarian, I read to your child. I am a nurse, I make your childs booboos feel better and take care of them when they get sick. I am a maid, I clean up after your childs messes. I am a grounds keeper, I make sure there is an appropriate ground area for your child to play. I am a janitor, I fix the toilet when your child stops it up. I am a chauffeur, transport , your child when going on outings. I am a cook, I feed your child. I am a waitress, I wait on your child catering to their need and wants, I am pest control, I make sure your child isnt traveling with head lice, fleas, roaches, or anything of the sort. Sometimes I am even the referee, stepping in when your child fights or argues over a toy, etc. I can go on and on.. I work 13 1/2 hours every single day with no over time pay, no benefits, no breaks, no sick days, and so on. That 13 1/2 hours is just with the children. I work additionally when your child leaves getting things organized for the next day. My point in this is, that there has been a lot of people who complain about paying for child care. I know first hand because there are A LOT of people who have not paid me. If I got paid for all of my jobs that I do through out the day I would be set and not have to work for anything. Parents dont go to their job every single day, work 13 1/2 plus hours 5 days a week for free. Come pay day if you, as a parent, dont receive your pay for your hard work and all of your time I doubt you would return to that job. Especially week after week. Also, just because I am at my home it is not my home during work hours it is my job. It is absolutely no different then going to any other job. SO, WITH THAT BEING SAID.... I ENCOURAGE YOU TO STOP AND THINK BEFORE YOU DECIDE NOT TO PAY YOUR QUOTE, UNQUOTE BABYSITTER! Im sure you want your child to have food, toilet paper, hand soap, etc while in care. FYI - NONE OF THOSE THINGS ARE FREE! I, AS A BABYSITTER, CAN NOT PROVIDE THOSE THINGS FOR YOUR CHILD IF YOU DONT PAY ME. MAKES IT KIND OF HARD TO BUY SOMETHING WITH NO MONEY COMING IN FOR THE JOB I HAD DONE. JUST A THOUGHT!!! C
