I am not one for long posts but I think I have one in me today!!! :O) I came to the Center this morning to do my regular quiet study of what has taken place this week and get ready for next week routine, when I came to the realization of what a marvelous week this was and of all the wonderful people I have in my life helping me! As I think back, in October I was perfectly content with my busy little center of 20 kiddos coming and going and loved my routine, my staff and was perfectly happy with just keeping it that way when God has a way of saying ..... Dont stop now! So many interesting events have led up to the adventure he set me out on. I know the adventure is not over but I want to take the time to say a huge thank you to Doug Walter, who I really had only met a couple of times but didnt really know. He has been nothing short of an angel and I have to say an enabler for me to be able to have even started this journey. Salem is truly blessed to have him in our midst! Second, I would like to thank my girls at the center who work for me! Mandy Quick, Tammy Donovan, Kayla Hemken, and Jessey Gouldsmith Kissir all stepped up to fill in and take over and handle all the stress that go with it as I had to be pulled away many hours of each day....some days more than others!!! Third, I want to thank my daughter Lori Hannon who came to help me. She was a lifesaver, came to Salem, and helped set up the new center at the Methodist church. I miss her and the grandbabies terribly since they have returned to their home in Joplin! Fourth, I would like to thank Brenda Jessen and the Salem News for the wonderful article and support! It was a fabulous article and on the front page! Made me smile!! And finally I would like to thank the new staff I have hired for being willing to learn and adjust to the new guidelines, schedules, and facility as we go. I will never say this was an easy accomplishment....maybe that makes me appreciate it all the more....I am blessed and I love all of you!!!
