I am not one for long reflective facebook statuses, but tonight as I sit in my hotel room for the last night in PA, I have a bittersweet joy, from the whirlwind of the past 72 hours so I feel like it is slightly acceptable. I think to begin is a list of things, 1 red eye flight (San Fran, CA - Charlotte, NC), 1 Early flight ( Charlotte, NC - Pittsburgh, PA), 1 day of solitude, 2 Days Geneva College, 9 positions, 11-13 Interviews, 4 new awesome friends (Eric, Fenway, Krista Sara), 50+ Other acquaintances, new colleagues, friends. All that and I still have 1 Breakfast, about 4 hours of exploring, 2 flights, drive home to Madera, then Fresno. With all that I cannot express the amazing joy, affirmation, passion, total love for what God has in store for this new chapter. Sad that as my friends drove away today that I wont see them for a few months, as they go home to graduate. But also excited to get home, have crazy adventures with Alice! Being intentional with these upcoming months in California. God is so Good! I sit listening to the new rend collective CD, and as I reflect on where I have been to where I am now, I cant stop this pumped up feeling of his unconditional love, grace, and plan for everything. If this is being read, I want this to be an encouragement and not some perfect life post of self gratification. Jesus, takes us no matter where our lives may be, his love goes deeper than any darkness, and when focus on him comes, he is ready and willing to pull, as long is we are ready to go. My take away verse for this trip really was a gift, Luke 7:36-50, continuously repeated itself in almost all my interviews. Whether it was serving relating it to the woman washing Jesuss feet, or the parable of the un-repayable debts, and the giver canceling those, and the reminder that I have been forgiven much, so I must give much. Just continued to fuel the burning passion that is my heart for integrating faith and learning. I am so excited and yet so humbled by these nuggets that I discovered on this trip. So as it is about 11:40 PM I think rest is calling my name, but I sleep with a thankful heart. -Evan Titus 2:7-8
