I am not saying the following out of anger, although I am very disappointed. Its just sitting quite heavily on my chest and I wish to warn others. To those of you who are considering joining Statuesque Modelling - The modelling agency in Bristol, I would first like to tell you what has happened to me. About a year ago I Joined this agency as they were getting ready to do a catwalk, so I offered to do this catwalk for them for free as it was for charity and they couldnt afford to pay people. After this, throughout the year until now they have asked me (and others) to do free photo shoots to promote the agency, having my own portfolio already I was a bit reluctant but thought Id go along to help anyway. After doing these photo shoots I STILL havent received the photos after many lies promising me (and the other models) to have them in the next 24 hours But Ive been patient and gave them the benefit of the doubt, they must be very busy with the next big catwalk coming up.. which I had already given up a performance for. but the date was changed. So I didnt do the performance OR the catwalk that weekend. The catwalk was moved to just recently and about a week prior I had been offered a £200 gig on the same night, I decided it wouldnt be very professional to pull out now and leave the agency with a man down after already having done fittings and rehearsals with them. Now this is where I am most upset, after the catwalk, a few days later I receive an email telling me my contract has been terminated with them. So I gave up full days and paid transport for photo shoots for free, went to rehearsals that were required of me to go to, didnt get all of the photos that were taken, turned down other events and paid work for the unpaid catwalk as to not let the agency down. as soon as they have used me and it was time for them to find me some paid work (He knew I had missed a paid gig to be there) they decide to just drop me instead. All of that effort I put in and trust, lead to me being screwed over massively. PLEASE models who are thinking of joining them.. Think about what you are doing and find an agency that has a good reputation. Thanks for reading.
