I am not who I was. Being remade, I am new. (Jason Gray) How am I going to do this all on my own? This is what was on my mind. The old me would never have even become involved in this. Never even gave it conscious thought. But the new me is not even able to consider Not going through with this. I hear the call. The desire is within me. I am willing. But I am alone to create this. I have to do this by myself. Then the Lord spoke to me. You are NOT alone. You are not even the one doing this. I AM. You are here to answer MY call. You are here to fulfill MY desire. Because of your willingness to follow MY will I will bless this. You are surrounded by people who will support you in all ways possible. I am just His instrument and will trust in Him to lead me. Anyone wondering why I wrote this it is because I am now the Youth Pastor at Harvest Church of God in Portland, OR. I do not have previous experience directly in this field. We do not have an existing youth group or a very large membership of high-school aged youth at the church. Like 2-3 is it. Our first meeting is Wednesday, October 29th at 7 PM. Anyone age 13-19 is welcome to attend. If you or someone you know is in that age bracket and would like to show up then we would love to have you there. I promise to do my best to make it fun and entertaining while keeping Jesus Christ as the main focus of our group.
