I am now an Ultra-trailer! Challenge made with incredible pride! beyond my expectations elsewhere! Ultimate XC 60km, Saint-Donat, Québec,Canada, time: 8h15, 20th on 85 runners ! Initially, in the depths of the forest in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of us all in fact, the race director gives final instructions before shouting GO! He asked us who is in his first ultra?, Many of us raise your hand! From a very serious tone he said: Well! It was really not a good idea to start this race one! there are plenty of other races trail in Quebec to start! This race is not for beginners and is really tough Then he talks about the two cut off, that the 37th km (past 7hrs) it is OUT! and finish line must be crossed below from 10:30hrs! Well, were all laughing party (hollowly for many, including me) Many challenges in this course consists of more than 90% of real big dirty trail single track! Roots, stones, rocks, flies, SUN, mounted endless, full of beautiful people, volunteer or an organization of high-class, long unavoidable wetlands big black dense mud often a foot or more hollow, rivers , they are also those last two elements composing the 2 km section called Vietnam. I go up to this great adventure that will not be the last of its kind! this long time with myself has allowed me to grow and learn still full of things about me A beautiful moment that I enjoyed so much that from the 52 km I started to say Eric, benefits each step and every sensation because ca ends! You folks, gave me lot of inspiration in my preparation !!! Thanks !! The next one will be UTHC 80km in mid-september !!! YEAHHH !!!!
