I am often teased about using “Nixons Farm” as my Facebook name – as though my last name were “farm”. I had originally set up my Facebook account for business, but it evolved into a personal account. As a result of my efforts to raise money for our family farm on gofundme/nixonsfarm-com, I have had to make that change. I would be most appreciative if you would “like” our Nixons Farm Facebook page. As most of you know, Nixons Farm is a 163 acre Howard County landmark that has withstood droughts, recessions, depressions, and misguided governments for six decades. We are in the process of installing a 60 acre solar farm; it is our hope to expand our efforts to keep the farm organic, ecologically green and always free of residential development. That is why I have turned to crowdfunding as a way of keeping the land pristine. I promise not to spam you, and to give you updates about how our fundraising efforts are going.
