Because I think if my IG interests them, they will follow me without me having to ask them to. For example.... if your IG is full with images of food.. cake.. sweets which I dont eat or have any interest in, I dont see why I want to follow you. But if you exercise or have similar interests and lifestyle with me, of course, I would follow you. Also, if you set your IG profile private, it is unlikely that I would follow you either.
