I am on my way back to Texas to be with my mom and dad. I will try - TopicsExpress

I am on my way back to Texas to be with my mom and dad. I will try and update everyone tomorrow, but for today, I will just copy what my sister in law had written yesterday. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. I love you all much and am so very thankful to be part of a group of people who whisper our names to the Father.....I know that with God, ALL things are possible and I know that He is helping my dad through all this. Please pray for my mom as she has a cold and is so weary......... Here is the udpate........ With the little progress he seemed to have made Wednesday, with being out of bed and walking down the hall, he has regressed quit a bit. He went to CCU on Thursday, my last update, and has been there since. All the pain medication seemed to be causing colonic problems, so theyve been trying to resolve this issue but while that has not worked as well as wed hoped, he had an episode of dizziness and vision loss. The Drs have said it could be one of two things, medication reaction or a minor stroke due to blood clot. His vision did return, PRAISE THE GOOD LORD! He is needing an MRI to confirm the cause. Before today he was unable to accept the dye needed for the MRI, but Drs cleared him this evening and he will, HOPEFULLY, be receiving one tomorrow. His colonic issues have not gotten better, they finally found a blockage and may be doing surgery to remove the portion that is causing so much trouble. He also needs neck surgery on the damaged disk that is aggravating his spinal column. This MAY BE the cause of the blood clot.... He still needs surgery for the aneurism found on the aorta in his abdomen, and the mass on his kidney. The Drs are hopeful to do both of these procedures in one surgery. He is very weak, as he has had no food for two days. He finally received a clear diet this afternoon. He is quite discouraged, but trying to keep a good attitude. His faith is strong and carrying him through each day. They were actually not able to do the MRI (as stated above) because his kidneys were not working as well as needed to accept the dye. Please pray for my dads strength as he needs to be able to start with one procedure before they can go on to the next. They havent done any of the procedures yet, hopefully today will be the start of a great day of moving forward. Again, thank you all for praying for my parents.
