I am one of the lucky cancer survivors after melanoma attacked me at age 19. Although I lost a huge chunk of my body and the swelling in my left leg caused problems for many years (surgery was so long ago that they cut out everything they could including lymph nodes, but before chemo & radiation were all that common), I managed to relearn to walk straight up again and to endure the residual pain for decades. I have friends and family who have lost their battles and some who are still fighting stupid cancer, so I feel honored to be among those who have faced this situtation. Please support cancer research.
