I am only going to post this for a very short time as it is not dog related but with the ice bucket challenge filling up most peoples news feeds I thought that this deserved a few minutes of fame too. You see I was challenged, but I did some research and looked at some 2013 financial statements from the ALS society of BC and I decided that instead of donating to them (sadly a small portion is used for research while a lot goes to admin fees) I would find a family dealing with this disease NOW and donate to them. . I have personally had a dear friend succumb to this horrible illness and I know the toll it has on people and their families. I will be donating to a family back east, If you want to help with this family back east I can accept your donation and give it to them on your behalf. If you would like to donate to a local family, this family is from Maple Ridge, BC. So please consider helping in a different way....be the voice, make the difference, help another in need. Remember, every dollar, be it $5, $10, $100 adds up and will change the world for another.
