I am passionate about sewing machines and sewing. One of the first things I wanted after I got married was a sewing machine, and fortunately my husband was inclined to feed my passions, so I got a Singer Sewing machine in a cabinet. This machine had the latest bells and whistles and did all kinds of embroidery. It was a great machine that I used for donkey years, when Bernina came out with a new fancy machine, and I was the first to buy one in our county. That was a fantastic machine, and I wore out two motors. I do like to sew. Oh that they would continue manufacturing those types of machines. But like everything else, the machines are now computerized, and they are dedicated to keeping the seamstress as far from machine adjustments as possible. Deplorable. All this is in aid of saying my fancy new machine is on the fritz again. Fortunately I was able to persuade my apartment complex director to take it to Wytheville for me, so that should expedite the return of my sewing machine. But I am currently in sewing machine withdrawal. I miss my machine.
