I am planning to go see the movie, Noah, on Saturday night and will share my thoughts on my FB page afterward (Im becoming quite the movie critic, I guess--LOL). However, this review I shared is written by an evangelical pastor, whose son auditioned for the role of Ham in the movie. I really appreciated what this pastor had to say. Here are some of my favorite quotes: It’s embarrassing to belong to a faith that attracts a group of people who always have to be right, and when something pushes them just a bit, they want to shut it down or keep people away. . . . If there are things that don’t line up in these movies with your opinions on what happened, then you have a great chance to follow up at dinner with your family or friends or small groups and talk about it. . . . Imagine what would happen if . . . we used [this story to spread] the Gospel? Wouldn’t that look a lot like Jesus? Im sure not all of my FB friends would agree, but maybe this topic could even give us a chance to dialogue about that. Friends, feel free to voice a dissenting opinion on my wall. We typicaly learn very little from those who always agree with us.
