I am pleased to report that three 17 year old suspects have been arrested in connection with 15 burglaries of unlocked automobiles which occurred overnight this past Saturday/Sunday morning. Those arrested include: Aiden Smith (17) 135 Pleasant Valley Drive, Des Allemands John Motta (17) 195 Carolyn Drive, Destrehan Deric Pritchett (17) Carriage Lane, Destrehan More arrests are likely. These quick apprehensions occurred due to the vigilance and determination of patrol deputies as well as the thorough and efficient follow up of our investigations division. Much of the stolen property has been recovered and is being identified by the owners. The defendants perpetrated these auto burglaries by going door to door during the wee hours to locate unlocked vehicles with valuables left inside. Of course, as usual all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
