I am posting this here as Toni and I are not friends on FB and also to update the NI community on what steps we are taking with Fenrir. Hi Tony Toni Regan Many thanks for all your assistance on the vaccine information. We have gotten hold of our local Veterinary suppliers here in South Africa and although they do not have the one you recommended they do have something 100% similar. (Can you believe they all rallied yesterday on a Sunday to help). The vaccine is being sent down from Johannesburg to us today so we will have it tomorrow. Dr Mats Abatzidis B.Sc. (Phys & Micro) B.V.Sc. (UP) Technical Specialist - Companion Animals, is moving heaven and earth for us at the moment. His response yesterday was immediate when I emailed them and he had the following to say. Unfortunately, Nobivac® Parvo-C is not a product that is offered in South Africa. We have two products you can try: Nobivac® Puppy DP (Distemper and Parvo virus antigens) for puppy’s less than 6 weeks of age, or, Nobivac® DHPPi for puppies older than 6 weeks of age. We are getting the first vaccine sent to us. My vet Jane is in constant contact with him as we speak. You very well may be saving Fenrirs life and whatever happens over the next few days I will be eternally grateful!! The vaccine is a live vaccine so Frenrir will display clinical signs of the disease however this does not mean he may have Parvo. This is a decision we have taken and both Jane and I will be at this side 24/7 during the next week. Once again I would ask the NI community to think of us during this time and call on whatever you can to guide us through the next week or so. Theresa
