I am posting this with sadness in my heart for our once beautiful and peaceful South Africa. We were woken at 1.30am with severe gun shots ringing out in the quiet of the night. For 2 hours we watched the Police search lights around the properties looking for the suspects. The neighbouring dogs were barking, house alarms going off and we could hear the Police shouting. My heart was pounding in my chest. It was difficult to go back to sleep after that. I pray for peace back in this country. We are fortunate to be able to fly back to Australia in 1 weeks time but I still fear for the safety of my children and grandchildren.
