I am privileged to get to be part of a national movement thats coming to Northeast Ohio. Its the Beauty Revealed Project, a non-profit photography project begun by one mother in San Antonio, Texas, concerned about female body image in America. To date the project has enlisted the help of 25 photographers, including me, who will photograph women who are mothers to debunk the media standards of beauty. Some of the photos will be used in national media. Whether they are used in national media or whether the woman wants to keep her photos private -- the photographing of a woman in beautiful ways is an effort to empower HER. Maggie Russell, who brought awareness of this project to Ohio, has created a local page: Beauty Revealed Project - Northeast Ohio.
