I am proud of my son. Hes not brave, but he adapts, and endures and goes into a situation knowing nothing, being afraid, but going nonetheless. He could scream and fuss, have a fit, throw a tantrum, refuse to cooperate or go at all. He could let his own fears take over and rule him but he listens to his parents and even though he doesnt necessarily believe us, he follows our wishes, shrugs his backpack on, sets his jaw and marches forward to face his fears. I am really proud of him for going on his first over night trip- a trip he did not want to go on, but a trip hes on anyways. No bribery, threats or anything else required. I hope he has the best time of his life.
