I am putting a bird ringing expedition together to the Republic of Congo in October this year. The primary reason is to catch and ring samples of Rosy Bee-eaters and African River Martins at their respective breeding colonies. In addition to this we will be continuing to net in several different forest habitats to continue the base-line survey as well as trying out new sites. I also want to net at the Kouilou River mouth where there is a roost of some 15,000 Royal Terns as well as interesting things like Grey Pratincole and the usual shorebirds.
