I am puzzled by the energy on the wanker side in the election. They had already blocked Obamas agenda for 4 years and there was never any reason to think they wouldnt keep the ability to do that even under a worst-case electoral scenario. Therefore the only thing that makes sense is that wankers believe there are issues on which Obama will support them that Senate Democrats would have opposed. Offhand I can only think of two--Keystone pipeline and the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste depository, which Reid had blocked for personal political reasons. Its possible that Senate control may advance tax reform, but I dont see that much has changed substantively.
