I am reading a book by Richard Dawkins entitled The Greatest Show on Earth...The Evidence for Evolution. Evolution is now considered a fact by scientists, no longer anywhere near the realm of theory. And as it turns out, we are all genetically related to everything on this planet. The tree that sits outside my window is my sister! I am so excited, I LOVE trees. So this brings me to the border crisis. Those people down there are our relatives. What do you do when your relative needs help? You help them. People what are you all thinking? I once saw the Dalai Lama speak in Indianapolis, and what I came away with was this: he said that the most important thing you can do with your life is to be kind to one another. We have so much in this country. To many people, running water is a miracle. Due to an illness, I have been basically out of the world for the last four years. And I have come back to more unkindness than I have ever seen in my life. We need to stop thinking about protecting our worthless possessions and start thinking about sharing the earth with our brothers and sisters.
