I am reading in the WSJ about the thousands and thousands of tiny wells going up around residential areas due to Fracking. Basically, they drop a big pipe into the ground and crack the rock with a highly pressurized slurry; which frees up Natural Gas and other resources. Im no tree hugger; but this makes me nervous about unintended environmental problems. Water contamination; ground stability; and just ruining beautiful landscapes. Every one likes cheap Natural Gas (and so cheap electricity); but, is this one more thing our children will pay for later?
