I am real tired of hearing an unarmed teenager. Let us get one thing straight this thug was an active member of the Bloods gang. He has a lengthy criminal past. He is six foot four and three hundred pounds. He resists arrest and grapples with officer Wilson and attempts to gain control of the officers gun. He gets shoved back then charges the officer again. At that point the officer has the right to shoot to protect his own life. I keep hearing OMG he was shot six times Did any of you ever serve in Combat. Many times someone is shot multiple times and does not go down. You shoot until you eliminate the ability of the threat to kill you. Now I like most of you have never walked in a Patrolmans shoes and most of you here I go again would not even walk down many inner city streets. Because it is not safe to in many places . These men and women often have to take actions in seconds or they get hurt or even killed. Take also into account the fact that so many in these inner cities despise the Police , Yet they are the first ones to scream and rant when Cops do not come in time when they are victimized. All I know is this . If I lived in some of these neighborhoods I myself would be supporting those there too protect me from trash like these street gang hoodlums. In my community I support all Police officers. Years back there was an altercation at a High School football game. A patrolman tried to break it up. He was outnumbered. Instead of standing there I jumped on the back of one of the goons resisting until his fellow officers arrived. Recently I was walking my dog. A patrolman alone was walking through our neighborhood late at night with his flashlight obviously looking for someone. I have a German Shepard. I walked over and stood with my dog within range of his car till he came back safely. And you can damn sure bet if he needed help I would have released my dog and done whatever was necessary to do so. I also want to comment on this. Again most of us have never stood before hundreds of angry citizens throwing rocks , fire bombs, spitting on you , pushing their way towards you with the intention of doing you bodily harm. . So enough whining about the Military style gear and equipment. Until you stand in their shoes I myself am for them having any equipment available to them so they stay safe and unscathed. Maybe if the people of Ferguson Missouri focused their anger on Thugs like Mr. Brown and his gang buddies and reported their criminal activities to the Police they might be better served . Until then they will be victims of their own communities.
