I am really enjoying seeing this movement in the US of not shopping on Thanksgiving as a way to have companies respect the personal time of its employees more. However I wonder if they would be willing to adopt what we do here in Australia. On public Holidays I get paid 250% more per hour, it makes working on those days (some of which mean nothing, while some do) a good thing :)!? (Also we have higher pay rates on the weekends and evenings for the same reason)
