I am really into the study of Time and Temporal Performance Art - TopicsExpress

I am really into the study of Time and Temporal Performance Art atm. So much so that if I carry this Performance major through to a Major Work at the end, I might make my piece a Time based performance inspired by the work of Teching Hsieh. Im thinking- Id love to experiment with the idea of being a student, merging with the environment, finance and time managment of a student who has become so corporeally enmeshed with their uni environment, they stay there. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. The performance would span one month of a Semester, weekends included. I would live ON CAMPUS, not in dorms- no- but ON CAMPUS. At all times. I can not leave campus (unless I do an excursion and leave for campus required needs, or an emergency). I would have to document the process, of course, and have a way to meet and engage with people about the performance. So Im thinking Id require myself to spend a certain amount of time in specific locations each day, such as the Information Commons (most likely at night, as its open 24 hours a day) In classes, in the food court, in the quad etc. Id have to find ways to sleep, eat, wash my clothes, bathe and maintain study-life balance all on campus. Id find a variety of ways, document and then probably present the documentation and associated experiences at an exhibition. Performance Art, Im loving it.
