I am reluctantly selling my beloved 71 C-10. It needs a little love and i have sooo many projects right now, i just cant find the time, so im gonna pass this true survivor on to someone who can give her what she needs, she has around 94k orig. miles and the gauge does still work, i bought it with about 87k. First things first, this was not a standard production Chevy, it was special ordered, from the Baltimore GM plant by the orig. owner. I have the original Dealer sales brochure, along with the factory order build slip. Still has the indestructible inline 250, which has recently had a new head gasket installed, as well as a new mechanical fuel pump, and a fresh, rebuilt Monojet carb with a much easier breathing air cleaner. Still has the Tremac 3-speed on the tree, with h/d clutch pack, still nice and tight, just needs new mounts as the shifter sometimes binds between 1 &2 gear, common problem. So special stuff.....custom ordered front disc brake setup, rear suspension is springs with shocks, not the typical leafs and a positrac 10 bolt, 3.73 rear end. Also features small bumpers and of course the short 7ft bed, which has some rough spots, as well as the rockers, but drivers rocker has already been installed and primed and i have the left side and cab corners from LKM as well. I also purchased enough antique tongue and groove ash wood barn siding to convert to a wood bed at some point, ill throw that in too. Now the bad, it was rolled onto its roof last winter which crumpled the roof a bit, messed up the doors and broke the front windshield, but inflicted no frame damage, just some dents and bruises. I already have a new roof, primed and ready to go, the old just needs cut off. Will also need new doors, and a drivers side window. I have a guy that was going to sell me empty doors for 30$each, i can put you in touch with him if you need. Besides this it still fires right up and drives down the road everytime. Firewall has been restored with fiberglass, radiator and front radiator cross member are new. Have an extra factory set of gauges with a tach, i think. She was my daily driver till the accident, super reliable. So if youre willing to put in a little work youll have a truly special ride. $2800 is fair, ill consider offers, just be reasonable, i dont have time for low ball, scrap yard talk. I know what i have and have no problem sitting on it till i get around to restoring it. Thanks for your time. Contact Gini at 740-616-3151
