I am reminded of Arnold Herstand, a painter, art dealer and former president of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the San Francisco Art Institute. A friend of mine and half a lifetime President of MCAD with a personalized style. Once said Its a competitve World. Thinking at the time that Arnold was making understatements for the sake of it, later I came to other terms and understanding. Its also a professional one! Paul Gauguin, If your going to paint a tree green, paint it green! Dont dink around with it. Going to do the Arts,do it, dont live a mediocre lifestyle of it.
