I am reminded of a Japanese proverb that has always stayed with - TopicsExpress

I am reminded of a Japanese proverb that has always stayed with me. Fall down seven times, stand up eight. To me it means, if you believe in what you are doing then never give up regardless of how many walls, distractions or challenges are put in your way. Although the last few days have been challenging, and today was no exception, I will continue to put pressure on this government and its Ministers to answer questions to be accountable. I have received a number of emails and phone calls that have been encouraging and to each of them, I thank you for taking the time to offer your comments. If I need to be the Assemblys whipping post because I demand accountability, then I will welcome that. As many will know, politics has its days and as of late, these happen to be the days that Ill be referring to when I say to someone, you think today his tough. Many times the Ministers will complain that they didnt get the questions in advance. They do this so that they can look good and seem to appear to know their issue. But at the same time it makes is hard for folks like me to look at them as they read a pre-written script for their response and come across like theyve been working on this file at length. As a politician if you were to ask a reporter for questions in advance of an interview, they tend to find that laughable.
