I am reposting this along with Rob Waters comment because I think what he says is significant. As much as women say we should accept them for who and what they are, males are often held to the same unrealistic standard. Thanks for posting Rob. Im posting this, because its something that should actually be thought about and discussed. So we have this graphic showing real men vs models, but the real men are kind of in that top of the line category. They dont represent the average dude, which is really whos left behind. Id slap a pregnant nun to have the shape of the bald dude in this whos totally in beast mode. The average 30 something American male is 59, with a 39 inch waist and a BMI of 29, one below being rated as obese. The bald guy in beast mode, hes probably the only one wearing a size 40 pant because hes just a big dude, far from a 29 BMI. The average woman is only 54 with a 28.7 BMI. So, is it safe / far to qualify real men as those who dont represent the average and only represent what may be considered aesthetically pleasing still? We already know the ideal image is the model, who has been manipulated and posed for that look.
