I am running for SISD School Board because I would like to serve the children and the community of Silsbee. I have been an educator, having taught 4th grade here in Silsbee for 9 years. I am currently a small business owner with my husband of nearly 25 years, Alton. We have lived in the Silsbee community since 1993. My children, Kelly and Steven, graduated from Silsbee Schools and my daughter is an employee of the district. Most recently, I was co-chair of the Support Silsbee Schools PAC which was instrumental in the passage of the bond calling for the construction of a new elementary school and renovations to two other campuses. I believe my experience, as well as my love for children, will serve me well as a member of the Silsbee School Board. I would appreciate your vote on May 10, 2014. Early voting begins April 28th.
