I am saddened by the passing of my friend, Jim Brady. Jims leadership and courage were the driving forces behind landmark gun safety legislation that saved countless lives and made our country safer. Jim turned a life altering tragedy into a lifelong campaign to end the senseless gun violence epidemic. While his work was not complete, Jims legacy will live on in those of us fighting every day to pass commonsense gun safety laws. My thoughts are with Jims wife, Sarah, and the rest of the Brady family during this difficult time.
