I am scheduled to undertake Uwezo Fund cheques issuance at the Kenya school of Government -Kabarnet. The cheques amounting to Ksh. 3.2M is set to benefit 32 youth groups in Baringo Central. I thefore caution the beneficiaries to use the loans wisely keeping in mind that it is a revolving fund that has to be paid back. On the issue of funds allocation, the decision of the Uwezo National Board to have a Ksh. 100,000 funding ceiling is based on the fact that most of the group proposals received by the Board were either lacking or provided inconsistent groups savings. As the constituency committee patron, I am pursuing meetings with the Uwezo Board and the Cabinet Secretary for the ministry of Devolution and planning where the issue above will be discussed.
