I am seeing a lot of people I work with on the hobbyist side upset because people dont want to pay their pricing on their homemade items or boutique clothing or photography to. I would like to announce to the public that a lot of work goes into this hobby. We dont get to get off work at 5 and go home to our families, cook, dinner, play with our kids be off on the weekends. We work 7 days a week and we basically run Walmart by ourselves we are the delivery, pick up, cashier, boss, Secretary, laborer, we run our Web pages and cell phones. When most people call only for items or appointments we get texts, facebooks, calls, voicemail, emails, ect... we are only one person not a crew. We sacrifice time with our families to make sure yours are taken care of. I get up at 6 send kids to school start working I go on shoots sometimes 3 a day come home and edit all night till 3am. It has taken us time and years from our lives to do what we do know what we know. I get as also my partners get why does this cost so much here is why by the time our costs and supplies and time is applied some make less than minimum wage. Boutique outfits will cost you 100 alone these ladies will custom make to your expectations for half that cost. I sure do not JUST SNAP PICTURES and put them on cd. You have to know seasons to a t, lighting cause and effects, geometry, and I challenge anyone not familiar with manual mode on your camera to shoot on it and see if you properly can figure it out then upload in to PS and try and edit. Let me know when youre frustrated lol. I had someone ask me how to shoot a pic like this my reply was set your ISO at 100 shutter speed needs to be at 1/200-1/400 and custom balance your white balance on the grid to match your colors, shoot from the floor up at a 45 degree angle should get that particular shot. Its not that easy guys dealing with children that do not know you on an every 3 month basis trying to make them happy and trust you and make them happy. Its not easy to run Walmart alone with 100s of customers. We arent perfect, we forget, we have failures or in my case hard drive failures lol. We however are people that work hard to impress some days we are tired but we are human just like you and we arent 100 percent up to par everyday but these people do deserve to get paid what they deserve. Theyre prices are reasonable and worth every penny and if you have a complaint dont run off to the next person let them know so they can fix it and know their faults we appreciate our clients and customers dearly its all for you and our families! Marissa Picon-Trujillo also!
