I am seriously ashamed to say I didnt even realize that today was - TopicsExpress

I am seriously ashamed to say I didnt even realize that today was 9/11 until my dear husband said something. I want to take this moment to just say thank you to those who have served and are serving still. On 9/11 we lost quite a few people, but we came together as a country, and showed that yes people can knock down our doors but they will NEVER be able to break our spirits, or our patriotism. My heart goes out to the families of those who were lost on this sad day only 13 years ago, and I want to ask that yours does too, also when you see that little old man, waiting for the bus or paying for his groceries, with his army shirt or veteran cap, or even the young people in uniform today, thank them and let them know that as a country we are grateful for everything they have given, because they never gave up on that flag of ours, we should never give up on taking care of them. Remember that it doesnt even have to be military uniform either, that some of the biggest heroes are also here being chastised for their colleagues making stupid choice, the policemen, firemen, paramedics, and even every day volunteers were the ones that ran in first for those who might still have been alive in the rubble, they were the first team to jump into the flames and they are the ones who still do so along with our military. And also those who are left behind to be the support from home... So whether it be just letting that car that says i love my marine go through the drive through before you, or giving those old toys to the stations when theyre helping people out for Christmas, thank them and let them know that they are never going to be forgotten or taken for granted. https://youtube/watch?v=gPHnadJ-0hE (sorry if I didnt tag you, my laptop is lagging but youre still included)
