I am sharing these pictures because I tell people about my log cabin that I build from time to time and I thought I would show you what it looks like. I built this log cabin about 10 years ago. I cut down the trees, dug the foundation, made the pillars that the cabin rests on, etc. My neighbor Stan Mann brought his tractor loader up and would load the logs up on top of it. I owned almost 160 acres in Piedmont, Missouri. The 4th and 5th pictures are a picture of Finley mountain and my cabin is on the Southeast corner of the mountain at the junction of State Highway AA and County Road 468. Pam and I would go down and work on it on weekends. We stayed in the cabin. She would sit on the deck, do her nails, read the paper, etc. and get anywhere between 10-15 chigger bites per trip. I wouldnt get any. We finally decided we preferred big city life, heat, air, running water, cable, etc. and I sold the land and the mountain about 3-4 years ago but one of our friends (Mrs. Pat Mann) tells us the cabin is still standing.
