I am sharing this in honor of my former boss and a great man who fought this battle for almost 7 years. I love and miss you Charles McCreary as do so many others! Please raise awareness for this awful disease. People who have ALS loose their body function and there body starts to shut down. The bitter-sweet part is that they NEVER loose their mind. Bitter, that they know exactly what is happening to them every step of the way. Sweet, that they never dont know who their loved ones are as does an Alzheimers patient. However, it is very difficult for those of us watching the ones we love suffer thru this awful disease. Charles stayed positive and tried EVERYTHING he could to beat this disease. He left a true legacy of the kind of person we should all strive to be and to NEVER GIVE UP (even when the odds are against you). His hope was that thru something he tried with all the experimental treatments, there would be something that doctors and scientist would discover that could save anothers life even with the loss of his. He was always thinking of others before himself. I will always be grateful for the twelve years I got to be a part of his life.
