I am shocked to my core at the cold-hearted, selfish cruelty exhibited by a person I once loved so much. This outrage isnt even on my own behalf; Ive settled those accounts in my heart. Betraying me was not that surprising, perhaps even expected, given what you revealed to me about yourself in the end. But sliding out from under the relationship you built with someone who chose to care about you in a way youd never known, accepted you in spite of your inbuilt reticence, embraced your whole person, glaring insecurities and victim-mentality included, seems to me to border on sociopathic. It was *so important* for you to reach out before it was too late, and now, it IS too late. In matters of life and death, there are no second chances. I will never forgive you.
