I am sitting here this morning with a heavy heart. A friend of ours just lost his mother. Grief Sucks! It is ugly, it is raw, and when it rears its ugly head it creates a hole in your heart. You feel like it can never be healed. Some days are better than others. Some days you can barely get out of bed, some days you can feel the sun but not really see it. It feels like you are moving in slow motion and everyone around you is moving in fast motion. You struggle to try to get back to some sense of normalcy but it eludes you. There are times when the memories of your loved one that you lost come flooding back and the tears just fall. You almost feel as though you are losing your mind. Death is a part of life, a hurtful part, but a part never the less. That hole in your heart will be filled with the loving that can only come from our Creator. It doesn’t seem possible but it will happen, in God’s time. Sometimes we have to be pruned to become better. The fog will lift, and you will see the sunshine again. Grief is different for everyone, nobody goes through it the same. The only thing you can do is hold on to hope and know that your faith in God will get you through it. I am always reminded of the footprints in the sand and am grateful knowing that God will carry us all when we need it the most.
