I am so excited, surprised, overwhelmed, happy, in shock, etc, etc by the fact that I have been chosen as a GLOBAL WOMAN OF VISION!!! Marsha nominated me a few months ago for the Blue Suede Music Festival and what it has grown into, didnt say anything to me about it and last Wednesday afternoon before I left for Penticton Lesley McDonald from Global TV called me to say I had been nominated. I was stunned as I had no idea who would have done that- MARSHA!!!! She asked me some more questions about the Festival and kept saying I love this! She said she would call back when I got back from Penticton and she called last night to say that I was indeed chosen to be a recipient of this prestigious award! I was stunned! Now I have a photo shoot coming up, an over the phone interview, an interview with camera crew in our house, they are coming out to the Festival on Saturday to shoot footage for the TV segment which will air Sept 1, and then again the following Tuesday, I have the woman of Vision luncheon next March with the other 11 recipients from the year and it goes on and on!!! Im still shaking my head! THANK YOU again Marsha for thinking of nominating me for this...to be honest I had heard about it but thought it was just for doctors and people who cured something! I never imagined what I did with the Festival would be worthy of an award like this!! So, I guess I am going to be on TV! What great exposure for the Festival and our local area Food Banks!!! WOWZA!
