I am so glad I no longer have a fear of talking to strangers, I was sitting in the restaurant having lunch today when the president came on the TV so I got up to find out what was going on and then sat back down to finish my lunch. This older man next to me finishes his and gets up and comes over to my table and asked Im sorry to interrupt but what did the president have to say So I told him. Turns out he is a Vietnam Vet who suffers severe ptsd and after all these years he was finally able to talk about what he experienced over there. The conversation didnt even last 15 minutes but I learned facts that were not presented in the news or in our history books.And he ended the conversation by saying Americans have always been raised to never talk about religion and politics but now is the time to talk politics to the polititions more than ever in a way they will finally hear us. I shook his hand and took his hand and told him it was an honor and pleasure to meet him and thanked him for his service.
