I am so glad my child has such a forgiving heart and sooo freakn resilient (Even when I am not) A close friend of hers hurt her feelings by calling her a Giraffe, which actually surprised me because she is sooooo proud to be 59 1/2 (and dont forget that half, lol). Well the next day she come home from the mall with my niece Jvonne Lowe with a giraffe pencil bag and t-shirt.... hmmmm. When I asked her what made her get THAT after what happen the day before, she told me I would rather be a giraffe than a turtle, I didnt get it. She told me to look at TD Jakes video on Youtube on Oprah Lifeclass that her cousin had shared with her and so I did. Giraffes and Turtles occupy the same space, but Giraffes eat from the top of the tree and turtles waddle through the grass. When you get criticism from turtles, the turtles are reporting from the level they are on. WHEN YOU WERE BUILT TO BE TALL YOU WILL ENDANGER YOUR POSITION IF YOU LOWER YOUR PERSPECTIVE. There is nothing wrong with the turtle, the turtle is giving an honest report from his perspective. You CAN NOT EXPLAIN TO A TURTLE A GIRAFFE DECISION, BECAUSE HE CAN NOT REACH THAT FAR!! PREACH PASTOR TD JAKES!!! God put the right people in and around your life at the right time. Maybe I wouldnt have handled somebody hurting my baby feelings the RIGHT WAY, but I am soooooo glad that HE worked it out with Krissy embracing who God built her to be!
