I am so glad that we removed commercial television from our lives 20 years ago. If we watch media now, it is media of our choosing, uninterrupted by commercials - or we dont watch it. I still remember when our oldest, then 4 years old or so saw his first commercial at a relatives house. He very indignantly announced - Hey, I was watching that! Where did it go?! when the commercial interrupted. At the time, it was very funny - but this documentary shows that the intentional targeting of our children is ANYTHING but funny. In fact it is more appropriately described as outrageous.
