I am so grateful for all of you. In so many way, you continually show me how valued my work is. The other day, I received a very special e-mail that really lit up my day, and I wanted to share it with you too: Dear Christopher, Im sure with a facebook page with almost 1.4 million likes and an organisation seemingly going from strength to strength at an impressive (and wonderful) rate, this email might get lost fairly quickly. If it does not however, then brilliant. I like to think Im a fairly smart chap, and perhaps that is a reason why I am trying to pursue a career in studying and protecting our planet. It is also a reason why I often have internal and external struggles on exactly HOW our species is going to accomplish this. Ive been back and forth numerous times, and whilst there are many groups out there doing extraordinary things, without which our planet would most likely have to a large degree already failed, I dont believe anyone has truly cracked that question yet. Until I came across your initiative. I spent my summer studying marine pollution in the Gulf of Mexico, and as part of my role I tried to write numerous blogs and other pieces educating and informing the public about our planet. The primary piece I worked on revolved around the issue covered by your video How whales change climate. I never really nailed how to effectively communicate this scientifically complex issue. Your video did, and is absolutely brilliant. It is a great example of how clear, lucid, explanatory information can educate vast swathes of the public, and in doing so take giant leaps towards saving our planet. And in my humble opinion the organisation or even movement you have started is at the forefront of releasing such information. Your career will have a marvelous impact on our planet. Thank you.
